As a member of the Property Bar Association, Iqbal's property practice covers commercial and residential disputes, including leases, possession claims, disrepair, and service charges. He handles cases under the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954 and advises on trusts, beneficial interests, and equitable relief. Iqbal also deals with mortgage disputes, boundary issues, adverse possession, and restrictive covenants.

DIRECT
ACCESS
Iqbal's practice covers commercial litigation, property, insolvency and injunctions relating to commercial or property issues. Iqbal is often engaged to appear in the High Court of Justice, the Business & Property Court or in the County Court.
Direct Access (also called public access) is where a barrister is instructed to act for a client directly without the use of a solicitor. Normally, a solicitor is instructed by the client and then, for specialist advice or representation, a solicitor will go to a barrister.
Depending on the case, it may be best to use a solicitor, especially where the case is long-running or involves dealing with a lot of parties.
HEARINGS / MEDIATION
Iqbal can appear in any court and represent you at any type of hearing. He is usually instructed on multi-track cases in the County Court or High Court. Iqbal also acts in fast-track cases for fixed fees. Iqbal has acted in appeals to a Circuit Judge, High Court and the Court of Appeal.
ADVICE
If you need to make a claim or need any advice on a claim made against you, Iqbal can provide advice and assistance on what to do or how best to do it. Iqbal can provide advice on an urgent basis if he is available. Urgent work is delivered within 3 days.
DRAFTING
Iqbal can draft various legal documents, including the following: Statements of case (Particulars of Claim, Defence/Counterclaim or Reply), Witness statements, Applications, Skeleton arguments and letters (sending these remain the responsibility of the client).
